Born and raised in Seattle, I'm a true native. Since moving to Puyallup's South Hill in 1992, I've spent my time living and learning about Pierce County. Urban sprawl means people on the move, thus our communities becoming part of many communities throughout the Pierce County area. |

A native of Wisconsin, I moved out to the Pacific NW in 1990 to attend the Art Institute of Seattle where I received a degree in Business. I began a career in the Financial Services industry in 1993. |

I'm a native of Tacoma and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980. In 200,1 I began involvement in the LGBT community. I served on the planning committee for the Dyke March in Seattle and, quite by accident, I was 'recruited' into playing Ginger in the Gilligan's Island skit in 2001's Out in The Park. That was a blast and I had no idea that years later I'd be a board member of Out in Tacoma! During the early 2000's, I involved myself mainly with Dunshee House in Seattle. For the last several years I've been a member of the Pride Foundation's scholarship committee and last year I participated on the grant review committee. |

Born in Alabama, I made my way up north through Bogota, Colombia, and PDX. For some stupid reason, we settled in Federal Way of all the glamorous places. I've been volunteering my time and energy for non-profit work since I was a child. My mother raised me to fight for the "underdog" and growing up in F-Dub, I saw a lot of youth being punished and abused as they were beginning to express their sexuality. I went to a grip of LGB support groups before I just got too mad. I wanted action, I wanted us to admit we were powerful! No one would, so I got all the queers I knew and we started The UnSociety when I was 16, a BGLAD off-shoot. I later joined AFSC and other amazing LGBTQIA organizations, even speaking nationally at queer conferences about the realities of queer and trans homeless youth. Yeah, I'm sorta smart like that. Through these great orgs., I was able to go to Anti-Racism training and Transgender Awareness Training. I took a small break from activism and then a friend roped me in to helping with Pride in Tacoma. It's funny, but I stayed and he left! I met Shelly and an unconventional love affair called Out In Tacoma began. I was the prettiest Co-Chair of OIT from 2005-2007 after being the saucy Secretary in 2004. I enjoy science, nature and all animals. I am currently in Culinary Arts School, think unicorns rule and owe everything to my lack of faith. PEACE! |
